BALLET Enjoy the study of ballet in a program developed to take the dancer from his or her earliest steps to an advanced level of study. We stress a healthful approach to all the work, which is a basis for our training process. Our guided progression of classes helps to build and enhance the dancer’s body and training. The student’s progress is carefully monitored so that they have the appropriate classes, regardless of age.
MODERN Discover movement that is more “grounded” in nature. Experience the release of weight into and out of the floor while shifting off vertical positions. Mobility of the back, employing a three-dimensional usage of the spine, are key elements in this dance form.
JAZZ Learn syncopated, percussive rhythms with musical theater styles. Develop flexibility, balance and strength while isolating different parts of the body and coordinating combinations incolving complex heads, arms and legs.
MODERN COMPOSITION
TAP Develop precision in sound, movement, gesture and expression. Includes historical routines as well as current styles.
FLAMENCO Blend exciting rhythms, grace and passion in the Spanish dance of Flamenco. Learn basic posture, footwork and rhythm.
BALLROOM Learn the basic techniques required for several styles of ballroom dance. The first week of every month begins a journey into a new dance.
HIP HOP The original form of street dance including three basic movements of Hip Hop: B-boying, popping and locking.
PILATES MAT WORK Focusing on precise movements with few repetitions creating a lean, flexible, powerful body and a focused mind.
YOGA Learn basic breathing, simple alignment principles and yoga postures and technique. Gain greater strength, flexibility, balance and inner awareness.
DANCE, MOVE, STRETCH! Keep healthy and fit in a social setting with this exhilarating, fun exercise and dance class. Appropriate for all ages.
