BalletMet's Early Childhood Classes offer dance instruction for students from 4 to 7 years of age. We introduce young children to the joy of movement through musicality, creativity, coordination and the social interaction of the dance class.
CREATIVE MOVEMENT Children ages 4 - 5 learn to love dance through individual expression and discovery. Simple movement sequences emphasizing musicality and coordination while developing the children’s ideas and fantasies into movement and dance.
CHILDREN’S BALLET Children’s Ballet Classes introduce children ages 6 - 7 to a more formal ballet class. We begin to develop strength while maintaining flexibility through age appropriate exercises. Creativity and musicality is nurtured and developed. Parents may register children for two classes of the same level.
ENTRANCE LEVEL Designed for beginning ballet students ages 8 - 12 with little or no experience. Young dancers are introduced to the ballet class in preparation for the Youth or Intensive Ballet programs.
PRE TAP Children ages 6 - 7 study the basics of this rhythmically exciting and precise dance form.
COME DANCE WITH ME For 3 year olds with a parent! Come and enjoy exploring movement and music.
MUSIC TOGETHER®
A music and movement class for parents and children (from birth to age 5) that encourages children to experience music through free play. Classes include singing, movement, and rhythm instruments and are taught by a registered Music Together instructor. Families receive two CDs and a songbook to continue the music-making outside of class.
