COMMUNITY PROGRAMS


Community Outreach Scholarship Program

Initiated in 1987 with the net proceeds from performances by Dance Theatre of Harlem, this year-round program provides dance instruction, tuition and other dance-related activities to economically disadvantaged urban and suburban youth. Selected through annual auditions, participants receive weekly Dance Academy classes free of charge. Criteria for selection includes desire, potential, family commitment to the program and financial need.

Internships
An educational program that brings high school juniors, seniors and college students into the workplace for 6-12 weeks for three or more hours per week. Offered free of charge. Call 614.229.4860 ext. 135 or e-mail. Applicants should submit a resume and letter of application for consideration.

Program offered in the theatre for select performances
Performance Conversations
Pre- and post-performance conversations in the theatre with artistic staff, guest choreographers, dancers, and other special guests that enlighten audience members about the evening's performance in a casual format. Offered 30 minutes before or immediately following select performances. A must for dance lovers! Admission included with purchase of ticket.
