BalletMet creates world-class dance experiences for our community and beyond.

To maintain our high artistic, educational and fiscal standards we rely on our community to invest in our work. Watch our slideshow below to see some of the dedicated people who make the magic you see on the stage, in the studio and in the classroom.

Here are just a few examples of how your gift is an investment in BalletMet:

OUR COMPANY
  • BalletMet Company dancers work tirelessly every day - starting a typical non-performance workday at 9:15am and ending their day at 6pm.
  • The BalletMet Company dancer shoe budget is $46,000.
  • During Nutcracker season alone, BalletMet Costume Shop designers and technicians work about 2,500 hours to create, repair, fit, and clean 194 costumes worn by cast members.
OUR DANCE ACADEMY
  • The Dance Academy is a bustling place where 39 faculty members, 16 accompanists, and 14 administrative and education staff work together to deliver 150+ dance classes to 1,500 students at two locations.
  • Each year, $148,000 is distributed in scholarships and financial aid to Dance Academy students to help with their dance training tuition.
OUR EDUCATION & OUTREACH PROGRAMS
  • 30,000 people participate each year in dance education programs such as Morning at the Ballet, Moving into Literacy, and Momentum.
  • The BalletMet KidTix Program offers up to 3,000 free performance tickets to children identified through Central Ohio social service agencies.
